Inn Town Campground. Nevada City, CA

Dates: Aug 24-26, 2018

Quite possibly the cleanest nicest facilities (that are still reasonably priced). Not exactly remote but perfect for groups. We stayed in their glamping tents, which were amazing! So clean, spacious, and even had electrical outlets. The campgrounds also has RV sites with hookups, and camp sites.

The communal bathrooms and showers are super duper clean. If this campground was on a lake or river, it would probably be my most favorite kid-friendly, group-friendly campground.

Reserve on their website

PROS:

  • Extremely clean communal bathrooms and showers

  • Extremely clean glamping tents w/electricity and real doors (not just magnetic or tied)

  • Kid friendly: swimming pool, fri/sat outdoor movie night

  • Activities: swimming holes @ South Yuba River, ping pong, corn hole, biking, hiking

  • Communal kitchen and fridge

  • Small camp store

  • Still relatively small (compared to the zoo that is Pinecrest), way less people

CONS:

  • Not on a lake or river. Need to drive to ~30 mins to South Yuba River

  • No much privacy, most of the glamping tents are right next to each other

South Yuba River

We drove to one of the swimming areas along the South Yuba River (Im not sure exactly where). Not toddler-friendly, hiking shoes preferred!
