Accommodations
Below are just a few hotels we recommend in Carmel & Monterey. Although the venue is in Carmel, Monterey is very close and has more hotel options.
5.24mi, 7min from venue. This hotel is our favorite and closest option. Unfortunately, they do not hold rooms, so they are first-come-first-served. PLEASE BOOK ASAP!! Two night minimum. Special rate is only valid if booked before April 29, although it is strongly advised to book ASAP, as it is first-come-first-served.
To book with this special rate, you must call (831) 624-1841 and refer to the “Capinpin-Vo Wedding.”
8.6mi, 12 mins from venue. We were not able to get a special wedding room block for this hotel, but if Carmel Mission Inn runs out of rooms, this is another great option.

Airports
Monterey Regional Airport is the only airport that is less than an hour away from Carmel. If you must fly into any other airport, your options to get to Carmel would be to rent a car or reserve a ride from the Monterey Airbus, which can pick you up from SFO or SJC and take you straight to your hotel. More costly options would be reserving a Super Shuttle, or taking a taxi, Uber or Lyft.
Monterey Regional Airport. 10 mins from Carmel. Has the least amount of airlines but is the closest to the venue. Tickets are usually on the higher end here.
San Francisco International Airport. 1 hr 50 mins from Carmel. Has the most airlines, and more reasonably priced.
Norman Y. Mineta San Jose International Airport. 1 hour 15 mins from Carmel. Has a good amount of airlines, and is the 2nd closest to the venue. Reasonably priced with certain airlines.
Oakland International Airport. 2 hours from Carmel. Has a lot of airlines and well priced, but farthest from the venue.
Things To Do
If you've never been to Carmel & Monterey, I hope you consider staying a couple days to explore. It is a very charming area by the water with a lot to see. Downtown Carmel and Cannery Row in Monterey have a lot of boutique shops and great restaurants. Also, Point Lobos State Reserve is beautiful!
If you love lush gardens, history, and national landmarks, you should check out Carmel Mission, which was founded in 1770.
If you’re bringing the kids, you MUST stop by the Monterey Bay Aquarium. There is much to see and learn about the marine habitats of Monterey Bay. Also has fun exhibits like the living kelp forest.
VRBO is similar to Airbnb and sometimes has more options. You can find really, great affordable spaces especially if you share with others. View available options here.
