No Name Trail, Coyote Hills

Date: June 19, 2021

Trail: Bayview Trail to No Name Trail

Location: Coyote Hills, Fremont, CA

This was a super easy trail but not as relaxing as I envisioned. You bike right along the ocean, which sounded like a great idea, except it was extremely windy and stinky (that stinky beach smell… like rotting seaweed and eggs). I probably wouldn’t do this trail again, but maybe explore other trails in Coyote Hills since we live close by.

Harley also wasn’t as patient this time. Maybe the wind bothered her as much as it bothered us. There were picnic tables along the trail so we took a break and had some snacks.

Harley loved getting off the bike and walking around. This was also the very first time she let me hold her hand. My heart melted.

After finishing the trail, we ended up in the parking lot. The parking lot seemed like a popular place for people to have their lunch. There were a lot of shady spots and also some tables but we decided to keep looking for something more private. Also, the view of a parking lot wasn’t as appealing.

Okay, bad choice. There actually weren’t many good spots to have a picnic past the parking lot. We settled for one of the bridges that had a bench and it definitely was not as relaxing as we thought it’d be. The wind was just annoying, the water was brown, and not that much space. But thank goodness we had her high chair!

After we finished lunch, we biked back to the truck. Before we left, we hiked a little to the top of the hill and finally, a view! A very dry view but we’ll take it.
